The Scarpa Vapor technical climbing shoes are built for the technical climber. Whether youre crack climbing or on the open face, these climbing shoes provide a stiff platform, downturned last, and a minimally stitched design to keep you comfortable until your feet are back on the ground. Bi-Tension climbing shoes employ a reverse-slingshot rand that anchors the toe box to the heel rand, pulling the front forward so that you dont have to cram your toes forward in the shoe while youre climbing. Ultralight microsuede upper with a full lace-up closure for a dialed-in fit. Bi-component D2 construction uses M50 and M70 rubber compounds in the rand and at the toe box. PAF Heel system interrupts the tension-rubber with a softer rubber to reduce pressure across the Achilles tendon. Holes at the side indicate the amount of tension applied: One hole indicates light tension. Two holes indicate mid tension. Three holes indicate strong tension. 1.0 mm Flexan midsole. Vibram rubber outsole provides high durability, grip, and stiffness. Last: FRX. A moderately downturned last with a moderate asymmetric fit.
